Long time, no post!

Wow! It's been awhile! To be honest, I've been using Facebook to jot down my daily thoughts and record the happenings in my life. I'm not sure if this blog is something that I will continue. That said, today I am thankful that my family and I are healthy -- which sounds trite, but it's so true! So much is happening in the world that scares the crap out of me - ebola outbreaks, ISIS, crazy students - but so far, everything is good with the Dempseys!

Coco-MaryAnn

The guy who works at Teahouse Noodles on Murray Hill makes going there such a fun experience!  He refuses to let you call the sauce Coco-Ginger, especially when jazz is playing in the restaurant.  He comes up with the tastiest combinations if you leave it up to him!  Yum!  We had dinner for 3 for under $20.

Reset button

I am so thankful that I have new students and another chance to work with the new French 2 book!  So far, my students seem very nice and more interested in working with me than my first semester freshmen.  I will miss teaching French 4, but I am SO grateful to only have 2 preps this semester.  I can already feel the difference in my stress level!

l'examen final

I got my French 4 final exam completed from home!  Sent it to the copy center from my computer.  I stayed home today because the weather was bad - not sure if I made the right decision, but it's so hard to tell at 5:30 in the morning.  I heard my sub was a real treat!  I can't wait to hear the stories on Monday!

rotisserie chicken

Whoever invented rotisserie chicken is a genius!  It's quick, easy and delicious!  We have it at least once a week and today was one of the those days!  Yum!
